Notes

'Beacon Silver' spotted dead nettle (Lamium maculatum 'Beacon Silver') is a perennial for ground cover, borders, containers, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to moist soil of most types. Its heart-shaped, semi-evergreen leaves are silver with narrow green edges, and small lavender flowers appear in late spring and come and go until fall. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Siebold's hosta, Lenten rose, and Aureola Japanese forest grass.
