Notes

'Red Nancy' spotted dead nettle (Lamium maculatum 'Red Nancy') is a perennial for ground cover, shade gardens, borders, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It spreads fast as a creeping mat, so give it room. Rose red to red-purple flowers appear in spring, summer, and autumn.

Pairs well with Lenten rose, Western sword fern, and Invincibelle Ruby smooth hydrangea.
