Notes

'Orchid Satin' rose of sharon (Hibiscus syriacus 'Orchid Satin') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet soil of most types. It grows fast and stands up to drought and salt. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Fourwing saltbush, Pittosporum, and Big bluestem.
