Notes
'Oriental Pearl' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Oriental Pearl') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The Japanese type flowers are light rose pink with yellow staminodes. Those bright centers stand out against the soft petals. Cut the blooms for a vase to bring that color indoors.
Pairs well with Japanese spirea, Western sword fern, and Knapweed.
