Notes

'Ota' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ota') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Pink semi-double to double flowers face upward and smell strongly fragrant in late spring. Yellow stamens rise above the petals like a brush. The upright stems need no support.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Spanish bluebell, and Royal fern.
