Notes

Pale evening primrose (Oenothera pallida) is a perennial for borders, containers, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry, sandy or loamy soil. Fragrant white flowers bloom in spring, summer, and early autumn, and butterflies and bees visit them. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It tolerates drought, so it suits a low care spot.

Pairs well with Yarrow, White sagebrush, and Blue grama.
