Notes

'Paragon' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Paragon') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flower gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It blooms in mid to late spring with double, brilliant red flowers. The blooms make a good cut flower. Gilbert S. Richmond bred it.

Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Immortality iris, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
