Notes
'Pastel Star' peony (Paeonia 'Pastel Star') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The blooms have broad white edges, purple centers, and black flares. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Flowers open in early to late spring and attract butterflies.
Pairs well with Blue sage, Blue flag, and Niobe clematis.
