Notes
'Patricia Hanratty' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Patricia Hanratty') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The Japanese type blooms are large and saucer shaped. They have rose red guards and rose colored staminodes edged in lemon. Strong stems hold the flowers up, and they open in mid season.
Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Black Parrot tulip, Pyrethrum, and Sensitive fern.
