Notes

'Pearl S. Buck' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Pearl S. Buck') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large white double flowers have thin red edges on some petals and open in late spring. Strong stems hold the upright bush up, so it rarely needs support. Don Hollingsworth bred it.

Pairs well with Compass plant, Spanish bluebell, and Blue sage.
