Notes

'Pearl on Plate' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Pearl on Plate') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant anemone-form flowers bloom in mid to late spring. Light purplish-red guard petals surround a ball of deep purple-red petalodes. Strong stems reach about 25½ inches tall, so you do not need to stake it.

Pairs well with Pale purple coneflower, Sedge, and Grape hyacinth.
