Notes

'Pendragon' apple (Malus domestica 'Pendragon') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. James Evans bred it in the 1980s. It is grown for fresh eating, cooking, and juice, and pink spring blooms attract bees. This apple is not self-fertile, so plant a second apple nearby for pollination.

Pairs well with Pink Lemonade blueberry, Prairie Sun rudbeckia, and Sedge.
