Notes

Peppermint spider lily (Lycoris incarnata) is a bulb for borders, containers, and xeriscape gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deep pink and white striped buds open to pink flowers, and the plant rests in summer. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. It resents disturbance, so leave it in place and be patient after planting.

Pairs well with Silver sage, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Prickly-pear.
