Notes
'Plenum' red spider lily (Lycoris radiata 'Plenum') is a bulb for borders, mass planting, and cutting beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. The strap-like leaves appear in early spring and go dormant in summer. Spidery flowers with thinly dissected petals form full, ornate clusters in late summer. Plant it and leave it alone, because it dislikes disturbance and may take time to bloom again.
Pairs well with Daffodil, Fountain grass, and Grape hyacinth.
