Notes

'Perrette' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Perrette') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Auguste Dessert bred it. The large double flowers open in late spring to early summer, with cupped outer petals, white centers, light pink highlights, and crimson flecks. They smell sweet, and the strong stems hold them up well.

Pairs well with Gooseneck loosestrife, Prairie dropseed, and Ostrich fern.
