Notes

'Petticoat Flounce' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Petticoat Flounce') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant, bomb shaped blooms are soft salmon pink with cream at the base of the central petal tuft. They open early to mid spring and make excellent cut flowers. Roy G. Klehm bred it in 1985, and the stems stay stronger than average.

Pairs well with Gooseneck loosestrife, Maiden pink, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Cinnamon fern.
