Notes
'Philippe Rivoire' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Philippe Rivoire') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fully double crimson flowers have a blackish sheen and a rose scent. Wiry stems carry the blooms above good foliage, and the plant stays small.
Pairs well with Gooseneck loosestrife, Maiden pink, Cinnamon fern, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
