Notes
'Piedmont Gold' hosta (Hosta 'Piedmont Gold') is a perennial for shade gardens, borders, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average moisture. It makes a clump 12 to 24 inches tall and at least 24 inches wide. Pale lavender to white flowers open from early to late summer and attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.
Pairs well with Fernleaf peony, Cutleaf toothwort, Canada wild rye, and Autumn crocus.
