Notes
'Pinkerton' avocado (Persea americana 'Pinkerton') is an evergreen tree for the food garden. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun. The tree is grown for its buttery fruits, which ripen from November to April. It is an A Type, so it needs a B Type nearby for cross pollination and fruit on both trees.
Pairs well with Dragon tree, Shrimp plant, and Staghorn fern.
