Notes

'Zutano' avocado (Persea americana 'Zutano') is an evergreen tree for fruit, shade, and container growing. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun. It is grown for fresh eating, and the green fruit ripens in November to January. Zutano is a B Type, so plant an A Type nearby to get fruit on both trees.

Pairs well with Saucer magnolia, Fountain grass, and Blue Chiffon rose of sharon.
