Notes
'Pinkie' peony (Paeonia 'Pinkie') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The near-single pink flowers have three overlapping rows of large, incurving petals. Stout, well-foliaged stems carry generous crops of fragrant blooms, and a few may be double. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.
Pairs well with Hosta, Limelight hydrangea, Nodding onion, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
