Notes

'Pinwheel' forest gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides 'Pinwheel') is a shrub for borders, containers, specimen planting, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is evergreen and fragrant, and it grows into a dense mound about 47 inches tall and wide. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Keep it away from pets, since it is toxic to them.

Pairs well with Blue Chiffon rose of sharon, Autumn fern, and Wild bergamot.
