Notes

'Pixie' apple (Malus domestica 'Pixie') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Pixie is grown for fresh eating, with a crisp, juicy, refreshing flavor much like a Cox. Pink spring blossoms attract bees. The tree can set too many small fruits, so thin the fruitlets after bloom to get larger apples.

Pairs well with Pink Lemonade blueberry, Garlic chives, and Alaska violet.
