Notes

'Pixie Star' carnation (Dianthus 'Pixie Star') is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 6 to 9 inches tall and bears fragrant, double pink flowers in spring and again in summer. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Heather, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
