Notes

'Plum Rosy' wild indigo (Baptisia 'Plum Rosy') is a perennial for borders, specimen plantings, and mass plantings in larger gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. The flowers open mauve pink and fade to near white with age, and black seed pods follow. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It forms a vase-shaped clump with the presence of a shrub, so give it room and avoid moving it once established.

Pairs well with Purple lovegrass, Cushion spurge, and Ornamental onion.
