Notes

'Plum Tart' peony (Paeonia 'Plum Tart') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Roy G. Klehm bred it in 1988. It blooms early with four inch, plum colored single flowers. Its low, broad habit needs no support. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Spiked speedwell, Empress Wu hosta, and Prairie dropseed.
