Notes

'Plutarch' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Plutarch') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers open in crimson or dark purple, so they bring deep color to a sunny bed. You can also cut the blooms to bring that color indoors. Kelway bred it.

Pairs well with Knapweed, Rose, Grape hyacinth, and Blue grama.
