Notes

'Pluto' peony (Paeonia 'Pluto') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The dark red flowers are fragrant and have strong stems. Nassos Daphnis bred it, and it blooms in late spring. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with David garden phlox, Star Gazer lily, and Clematis.
