Notes

'Poena Cullei' peony (Paeonia 'Poena Cullei') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The salmon-pink flowers fade to a lighter shade, and the upright stems need no support. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Joshua Scholten bred it.

Pairs well with Spiked speedwell, Empress Wu hosta, and Nodding onion.
