Notes
'Polar Ice' lily-of-the-nile (Agapanthus 'Polar Ice') is a perennial for borders, containers, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and blooms in early to late summer, drawing butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It also tolerates salt.
Pairs well with Butterfly milkweed, Lucifer montbretia, and Russian sage.
