Notes

Poor man's rhododendron (Impatiens sodenii) is a perennial for borders, hedges, and low maintenance gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It is evergreen and draws hummingbirds. It can reach 47 to 94 inches tall and spread even wider.

Pairs well with Pink banana, Parrot's beak, and Black bamboo.
