Notes

'Prairie Sunshine' peony (Paeonia 'Prairie Sunshine') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant, lemon-yellow flowers are semi-double and cupped, and bees and butterflies visit them. Don Hollingsworth bred it. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Fire and Ice hosta, Switchgrass, and Maiden pink.
