Notes

'Prelude of Victory' peony (Paeonia 'Prelude of Victory') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant double flowers open lime-green tinged yellow, then fade to clear yellow, and the upright stems stand without support. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Maiden pink, Royal Standard hosta, and Little bluestem.
