Notes

'President Lincoln' lilac (Syringa vulgaris 'President Lincoln') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It blooms in early to late spring with fragrant flowers that attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. This shrub also tolerates salt.

Pairs well with Phantom panicle hydrangea, Lanceleaf coreopsis, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
