Notes

'Presto' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Presto') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The single red blooms can reach eight inches across and keep well. The heavy, dark green foliage looks good on the lawn after the blooms fade. Edward Auten, Jr bred it.

Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Dalmatian bellflower, and Royal fern.
