Notes

'Prima' apple (Malus domestica 'Prima') is a tree for the food garden, grown for fresh eating and drying. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It has a dense, moderate growing habit. Bees visit the spring flowers. Purdue, Rutgers, and Illinois bred it in 1970.

Pairs well with Sweet woodruff, Ocean spray, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
