Notes

'Prince Charles' clematis (Clematis 'Prince Charles') is a vine for containers, cottage gardens, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Mauve flowers open in spring, summer, and autumn, and bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit them. Alister Keay bred it.

Pairs well with Quick Fire panicle hydrangea, Jeana garden phlox, and Paris coral bells.
