Notes

'Prince of Orange' garden phlox (Phlox paniculata 'Prince of Orange') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It forms a clump 18 to 24 inches tall and 12 to 18 inches wide. Fragrant salmon-orange flowers with a small red eye open from early to late summer and again in early autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit them.

Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Little bluestem, Arabella clematis, and Lily.
