Notes

'Prinses Juliana' avens (Geum quellyon 'Prinses Juliana') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, rock gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It forms a mounding clump 12 to 24 inches tall and wide. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms in spring and summer.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Casa Blanca lily, and Buckeye Belle peony.
