Notes
'Prolific' Chinese wisteria (Wisteria sinensis 'Prolific') is a vine for borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Fragrant lilac blue flowers open in spring and again in summer, and they draw butterflies and bees. It sits low on the menu for deer. This vine climbs fast, so give it a strong support.
Pairs well with Climbing hydrangea, Bloodgood Japanese maple, and Ornamental onion.
