Notes

'Amethyst Falls' American wisteria (Wisteria frutescens 'Amethyst Falls') is a vine for pollinator gardens, privacy screens, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, loamy or clay soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It grows fast and climbs to 25 to 30 feet. Lavender-purple, fragrant flowers open in early to late spring and draw butterflies, bees, and birds.

Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Rose of sharon, and Casa Blanca lily.
