Notes

Japanese wisteria (Wisteria floribunda) is a climbing vine for borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Fragrant blue to violet, pink, or white flowers open in spring and again in summer, and they attract butterflies. It grows fast, so give it a strong support. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Clematis, Blue fescue, Grape hyacinth, and Festiva Maxima peony.
