Notes

'Amethyst' Chinese wisteria (Wisteria sinensis 'Amethyst') is a climbing vine. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Fragrant flowers open in early to late spring and draw butterflies and bees. Deer tend to pass it by. It grows fast and tolerates dry spells, so give it a strong support.

Pairs well with Black Baccara rose, Daffodil, and Autumn fern.
