Notes

'Prosperity Maud' peony (Paeonia 'Prosperity Maud') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Single apricot flowers with deep pink flares open in spring, and the lightly fragrant blooms do not need staking. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Maurice Ménard bred it, and La Pivoinerie D'Aoust introduced it in 2003.

Pairs well with Dancing Queen hosta, Spiked speedwell, and Nodding onion.
