Notes
'Pure Joy' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Pure Joy') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears full rose type double flowers in two or three shades of pink with a mild, fine fragrance. The clean, dark green foliage grows on fine stems about 35 inches tall. Myron D. Bigger bred it, and Bigger Peony Farm introduced it in 1966.
Pairs well with Perennial candytuft, Blazing star, Sedge, and Little Beauty tulip.
