Notes

'Purple Cloud' lily-of-the-nile (Agapanthus 'Purple Cloud') is a perennial for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It blooms from early to late summer and draws butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It also tolerates salt, so it suits coastal spots.

Pairs well with Tawny King red-hot poker, Coneflower, and Russian sage.
