Notes

'Purple Glory' dogwood (Cornus Florida 'Purple Glory') is a tree for borders, specimen planting, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Maroon red blooms open from early to late spring. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit it. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Oakleaf hydrangea, Autumn fern, First Frost hosta, and Sedge.
