Notes

Pussytoes (Antennaria dioica) is a perennial for borders, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It grows slowly into a low mat of gray, silver, and green leaves. White to pale pink flowers open in spring and again in summer. It tolerates drought, so it needs little care.

Pairs well with Maiden pink, Rock soapwort, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Mount Hood daffodil.

Native range

Temperate northern hemisphere.
