Notes

'Qiuhua Sang' peony (Paeonia 'Qiuhua Sang') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Its fragrant single flowers open in spring and are deep red inside with strokes of yellow. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Lenten rose, Mock orange, and Clematis.
