Notes

'Quaker Maid' peony (Paeonia 'Quaker Maid') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows up to 28 inches tall and bears wide, flat, fragrant, deep pink blooms that attract butterflies and bees. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Blue Angel hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Woodland phlox.
